About the Vista Festival

On Saturday 8th July 2023 Hull's biggest free street festival returns to Prince's Avenue.

Thousands will be entertained by the urban mash up of this year's headliners Bunkerpop, a free fun fair, art sales, street entertainment, dancing, art installations and not forgetting food from 25 different food establishments along the length of the street.

The festival is organised by the Princes Avenue Community and Traders (PACT) which is a voluntary group set up to promote the local community and businesses. The festival is a celebration of the culture of HU5.

The event features live music from some of the very best local talent in the Hull area showcasing not only well established artists on the Main Stage but providing a platform for upcoming talent on the Acoustic Stage.

There will be Art Installations from local artists displaying and selling their work on the street.  There will also be a number of stalls featuring local support groups and as well food and drink, some of the local venues will be offering live entertainment throughout the day.

The event takes place along the whole of Princes Avenue which will necessitate a complete road closure throughout the day, the details of which are shown in the map on this site.

We are please to announce that this years Vista Festival will be formally opened at 3:00pm by the Leader of Hull City Council - Mike Ross.

FAQ's about the Vista Festival 2023

YES - Princes Avenue will be closed to all traffic from Wellbeck Street to Park Grove between 11:30am and 11:00pm on Saturday 8th July 2023. A number of diversions will be in place. A map detailing the road closures and diversions can be found here.
All of the businesses, bars and restaurants on Princes Avenue will be open and will be extending their businesses alfresco into the street.  Providing a wide variety of food and drink, they include:

Pave
Crafted
El Toro
Marla's Sandwich Shop
You will be able to drink within the confines of the bars and restaurants along the street. You will also be able to take your drinks onto the street but only in plastic containers - strictly NO GLASS!
All activities are taking place on the street or within the bars at street level.  The event is fully accessible.
NO - The event is FREE. Simply turn up on the day and enjoy what's on offer. Check out the timetables for the artists on the Main Stage and the Acoustic Stage.
